Billy Goat 1/2 Marathon Climb (& 10k)

Location:  The Cleveland National Forest, just outside of Silverado CA, an old mining town dating back to 1878. The Start/Finish is up Maple Springs Rd, next to the creek, near Lost Woman Canyon (33°45'13.2"N 117°33'33.6"W). 

Runners will be shuttled from a roadside lot owned by St. Michael’s Abbey. The lot is directly across the street from The Silverado Community Center at 27641 Silverado Canyon Rd. A shuttle sign will be posted. 

  6:30 - 7:30 am Check-in

7:45 am Race Briefing

8:00 am  1/2 marathon 

& 10k start

Cut-off: at the halfway point (approx. 6.5 miles) for 

1/2 marathon 10:15 am 

(2 hrs, 15 min.)

Early Starts with Race Director approval (For slower runners only) 

Water and electrolytes (& light calories) available at aid stations. Aid stations are planned at the following miles (approximately):

Mile 6.55

Mile 10

This race does not allow refunds. Race entries will be applied to the following year's race should the Billy Goat race get cancelled due to circumstances beyond the race director's control (fire, government shutdown, etc). Our first choice is not to cancel. We always have a Plan B. If the trail becomes unavailable, we will move to Plan B if possible.
