Billy Goat 1/2 Marathon Climb (& 10k)

Cut-off: at the halfway point (approx. 6.5 miles) for 

1/2 marathon 10:10 am 

(2 hrs, 10 min.)

Early Starts with Race Director approval (For slower runners only) 

Water and electrolytes (& light calories) available at aid stations. Aid stations are planned at the following miles (approximately):

Mile 6.5

Mile 9.5

In 2024, we had a course change because a pair of nesting eagles came a little too close to the road. 

In 2025, the plan is to head back to Indian Truck Trail in the Cleveland National Forest for another one-hill race up to N. Main Divide. 

2,500-2,800' elevation gain for the 1/2 marathon. Come back soon for 10k elevation gain.

We have a couple great alternatives should eagles return to nest. 

No Refunds. This race does not allow refunds of any kind. Race entries will be applied to the following year's race should the Billy Goat race get cancelled due to circumstances beyond the race director's control (fire, government, shutdown, etc). Our first choice is not to cancel. We always have a Plan B. If the trail becomes unavailable, we will move to Plan B if possible.
