California's premiere trail marathon was first run in the Saddleback Mountains of the Cleveland National Forest in 1988. We were back in 2019 & in 2023 but other years were thwarted by fires, Covid and more fires. In 2024, we were set to go out of Blue Jay Campground again but then . . . Airport Fire in Trabuco Cyn burned thousands of acres including Blue Jay and much of our course. So, we are re-routing for April's race. We're still in the Trabuco District, Cleveland National Forest but we'll be going out of Black Star Canyon instead.
